No Immunizations at School Registration

Comunicado de Prensa

The Baker County Health Department will not be able to provide immunizations at school registration this year because of registration changes made in response to COVID-19. Any immunizations students need can be scheduled at the Baker County Health Department. Health Department staff can check vaccine records to find out if a child is due for any vaccines, and provide immunization records that can be provided to the school the child is attending. Parents and guardians are responsible for providing immunization records to the schools their children attend.

The Baker County Health Department is taking precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and can answer any questions or concerns for bringing a child in. Please call 541-523-8211 for a copy of your child’s record, to confirm if your child needs any immunizations, or to schedule an appointment. The Health Department will be open until 6:30 PM on August 10th and 11th to make scheduling easier.

School exclusion is on February 17th, 2021, and students who do not have their required vaccines will be excluded from school on this date until the student’s information is up-to-date. These laws will not be waived during COVID-19. Due to COVID-19, the Health Department may not be able to provide walk-in appointments on school exclusion day like has been done in the past.
